Java Developer

We are looking for Java Developers (Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior) to join Pointwest Innovations Corporation under the Financial Services Business Unit. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications that power innovative financial solutions. Developers will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality systems aligned with Pointwest's values of Leadership, Excellence, and Innovation, and our culture of Agility, Accountability, Innovation, Collaboration, and Customer Centricity.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Senior Java Developer

  • Experience: 5+ years in Java development, preferably in financial services.

  • Skills: Java 17, Spring Boot, REST API, JUnit, MS SQL, SOAP API, PL/SQL, Azure DevOps, Agile Scrum.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, mentoring, and client-facing communication skills.

Mid-Level Java Developer

  • Experience: 3–5 years in Java development.

  • Skills: Java 17, Spring Boot, REST API, JUnit, MS SQL (SOAP API, PL/SQL a plus).

  • Soft Skills: Able to work independently on moderately complex tasks; collaborative and communicative.

Junior Java Developer

  • Experience: 0–2 years 

  • Skills: Solid Java foundation, familiarity with Spring Boot, REST API, JUnit, MS SQL.

Soft Skills: Eager to learn, adaptable, team-oriented, and open to feedback.
