Position Summary:

Joji Ilagan International Schools is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef Instructor to join our dynamic Culinary Arts team. The ideal candidate must hold an NC II in Cookery and be a TESDA-certified Assessor. As a Chef Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on, industry-relevant training to students, ensuring they gain the skills, discipline, and confidence required in professional kitchens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures and hands-on kitchen demonstrations aligned with the school's culinary curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools in accordance with TESDA and school standards.
  • Guide and supervise students in practical kitchen sessions, ensuring food safety, hygiene, and professionalism at all times.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback and grades.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped teaching kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with TESDA policies and industry standards in all training activities.
  • Conduct assessments and facilitate TESDA-related certifications as a qualified Assessor.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews, program development, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Mentor students for culinary competitions, internships, and industry placements.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to support student success and program excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a National Certificate II (NC II) in Cookery.
  • Must be a TESDA-accredited Assessor in Cookery.
  • At least 2–3 years of professional culinary experience in a commercial kitchen or teaching environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, kitchen operations, and culinary techniques.
  • Teaching or training experience in a culinary school or hospitality institution is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about culinary education and student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred:

  • Additional TESDA qualifications or certifications in other areas of food and beverage services.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Competency in using educational technology or learning management systems (LMS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php13, Php15,000.00 per month
