Senior IT Business Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior IT Business Operations Specialist / Regional Lead to oversee and drive the business infrastructure, talent management, and operational efficiency for our client's rapidly expanding IT Consulting footprint in Asia (Philippines and neighboring markets). This is a senior, high-impact remote role requiring executive-level communication, strategic discipline, and proven leadership experience.

Mandatory Time Alignment: This role requires a mandatory overlap of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST (Night Shift / Mid-Shift in PH) to work closely with the North American head office.

The Senior IT Business Operations Specialist will act as the operational leader for the Asian region, ensuring all business processes, talent management, and vendor relationships function seamlessly and strategically align with the Canadian headquarters. This role involves translating strategy into actionable processes, leading recruitment, and managing team performance across multiple time zones.

• Own day-to-day business operations for the client's Asian footprint (Philippines and neighboring markets).
• Support expansion of IT consulting and staffing services in Asia: assist in market research, lead generation, and sales coordination with the Canadian team.
• Translate high-level strategy into clear operating rhythms, processes, SOPs, and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with local business practices, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Set up and manage local vendors (coworking, tools, payroll partners, etc.) to support the team.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for consultants and operational roles in Asia (sourcing, screening, shortlisting, offer coordination).
• Manage and support a multicultural/offshore team across multiple time zones, driving productivity, alignment, and accountability.
• Implement and maintain KPI frameworks, OKRs, and performance dashboards for the regional team.
• Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and continuous improvement of people processes in collaboration with the Canadian leadership.
• Support the client in negotiating contracts, rates, and terms with offshore consultants, agencies, and vendors.
• Coordinate with sales / business development to ensure operational readiness for new client engagements.
• Track and report on key commercial and operational metrics to onshore leadership (pipeline, utilization, staffing, delivery risks, etc.).
• Maintain a mandatory overlap of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST (non-traditional hours).
• Serve as the primary operations contact between the Asian team and the client's leadership.
• Communicate clearly and proactively—written reports, regular check-ins, and escalation of risks or issues.

• 7+ years of experience in operations, business management, talent management, or project leadership, ideally within IT, tech consulting, or professional services.
• A college graduate with a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Strong track record managing offshore or multicultural teams across multiple time zones.
• Proven experience in international recruitment (sourcing talent across countries, working with remote consultants, agencies, or BPOs).
• Solid experience negotiating contracts, rates, and terms with contractors, vendors, or agencies.
• Demonstrated exposure to sales / business development or supporting commercial teams (pre-sales support, staffing for new deals).
• Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, OKRs, and performance management tools.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills in English – both written and verbal.
