Job Summary
The Purchasing Officer will manage the procurement of products and services essential for the company's operations. This role involves strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers, ensuring the company maintains high-quality standards while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Procurement Process:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and procedures.
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain stock levels.
- Cost Management:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
- Seek out cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
- Prepare and manage budgets for procurement activities.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, including expenditure and savings.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all purchased products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Work with the quality control team to resolve any issues related to purchased goods.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, finance, and logistics, to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes and performance.
Qualifications
- At least College Level of any related course
- Must Have 1 year or more work experience as Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer, or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with occasional travel to supplier sites or industry events.
- May require working outside regular business hours to meet deadlines or address urgent procurement issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php21,000.00 per month
