Optics Engineer

Qualifications:

• Education Graduate of Applied Physics Related Master's Degree, Doctorate Degree or professional qualification an advantage
• Work Experience At least seven years of work experience in optics and vision systems and applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for innovation, capability and competency development in the area of optics, camera and vision test systems and AOI
• Perform architecture design, checking, reviewing and recommending approval for identified activities and decisions of the department related to optical tests, camera and vision test systems and AOI
• In-charge of ensuring that project requirements are met and concerns are addressed accordingly
• Certify compliance of testers to appropriate standards including safety
• Define projects and plans to align IMI capabilities to support new and emerging technologies
• Drives competency development activities for vision and optical tests topics
• Provides inputs in the performance reviews and development plans of Engineers and other support members of projects led

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong background in the fields of Optics, Optics measurements, Laser and Photonics and Imaging
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in language other than English an advantage
