Healthcare Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Healthcare team. The role involves assisting patients, providers, and members with inquiries related to healthcare benefits, claims, billing, appointments, and general support. The ideal candidate is someone who delivers exceptional service while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to healthcare inquiries, benefits verification, claims status, and billing concerns.
- Provide accurate information and resolve customer issues with empathy and efficiency.
- Document interactions and update customer records in compliance with company and healthcare regulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to HIPAA and data privacy guidelines.
- Escalate complex cases to the appropriate departments as needed.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics such as quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and deliver outstanding service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years BPO/Call Center experience, preferably handling healthcare or insurance accounts.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
- College graduate (any course).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and CRM systems.
Preferred Skill/s
- Strong customer empathy and active listening skills.
