Job Description /Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess customer and business requirements to design scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions.
  • Develop LAN and WAN architectures, creating detailed High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level (LLD) designs.
  • Coordinate installation and configuration of network equipment with operators, vendors, and on-site teams.
  • Lead and participate in all network testing activities, including failover, internet breakout validation, and integration testing with firewalls and optimization tools.
  • Manage escalations, troubleshoot complex network incidents, and oversee critical outage resolutions.
  • Ensure network stability through proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, and performance optimization; produce monthly operational and performance reports.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including procedures, SOPs, and design packages.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and handover to support teams.
Core Experience & Certifications
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise and service provider network environments.
  • Expertise in Routing & Switching, Security Architecture, and System Integration.
  • Background in TAC / Service Provider operations with strong troubleshooting and escalation skills.

  • Required Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNP or CCDP (must have)

  • Additional certifications in Palo Alto, F5, or SDWAN highly preferred.

Network Design & Administration

  • Strong experience in designing and administering LAN/WAN architectures, including:

  • MPLS, IPSec VPNs, GRE tunnels, Hybrid WAN

  • SDWAN (Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Versa)

  • Proficient with major network hardware:

  • Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches

  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM/ASM)

  • Skilled in routing and switching protocols:

  • BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP

  • STP, RSTP, MSTP
  • Experienced with Security, Multicast & QoS technologies (IPSec, PIM, IGMP, DSCP, CoS, queuing).

Security & Network Optimization
  • Firewall configuration and security policy design (Palo Alto App-ID, User-ID, GlobalProtect).
  • Experience with Zero Trust architecture, segmentation, NAC, SIEM and IAM integration.
  • WAN Optimization expertise (e.g., Riverbed SteelHead).
  • Performance tuning for latency-sensitive applications.

Advanced Technologies
  • F5 Load Balancer: LTM/GTM configuration, SSL offloading, iRules.
  • SDWAN: Application-aware routing, cloud on-ramp design.
  • VoIP/ToIP: Understanding of SIP, H.323, QoS for voice, and UC integrations (Cisco CUCM, Avaya).

Soft Skills & Collaboration
  • Strong documentation and network design skills (Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Ability to lead technical workshops, vendor validations, and architecture reviews.
  • Effective collaboration with Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.
