Job Description

The Warehouse Helper supports the daily operations of the warehouse by assisting in various tasks related to receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipment preparation. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining organization and efficiency within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Inventory Management:

o Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming shipments.

o Verify received goods against purchase orders or delivery invoices.

o Label and tag items for proper storage or distribution within the warehouse.

o Lay outing and checking of outbound delivery

o Maintain cleanliness of the lay out area, pallets and warehouse vicinity

· Storage and Organization:

o Ensure goods are stored in designated locations according to warehouse layout and storage requirements.

o Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in warehouse storage areas.

o Rotate stock and arrange inventory to optimize space utilization.

· Order Picking and Packing:

o Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on packing lists or pick tickets.

o Prepare shipments for delivery or pickup by ensuring proper packaging and labeling.

· Loading and Unloading:

o Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers using appropriate equipment or manual labor.

o Handle fragile and sensitive items with care to prevent damage during handling.

· Inventory Control:

o Conduct regular stock counts and assist in inventory audits as directed by warehouse management.

o Report inventory discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors promptly.

· Safety and Compliance:

o Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and participate in safety training programs.

· Equipment Maintenance:

o Perform basic maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.

o Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to warehouse supervisors.

· Team Collaboration:

o Collaborate effectively with warehouse team members and other departments to achieve operational goals.

o Assist colleagues in completing tasks and projects as needed.
