Director of Operations

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership:

• Develop and execute the overall operations strategy, setting clear goals and KPIs for procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
• Partner with the CEO and other department heads to ensure operational capabilities align with company-wide sales and financial targets.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process enhancements to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase speed.
• Manage the end-to-end operations budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximizing the return on investment.

2. Procurement & Inventory Management:

• Provide strategic oversight to the Head of Procurement to ensure optimal inventory levels across all product categories.
• Develop strategies to improve inventory turnover, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to improve lead times, costs, and quality.

3. Warehouse Operations:

• Lead the Warehouse Manager to achieve excellence in all aspects of warehousing, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure a culture of safety and compliance, implementing best practices to create a secure work environment.
• Champion the effective use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to drive accuracy and efficiency.

4. Logistics & Fleet Management:

• Oversee the Logistics & Fleet Manager to run a cost-effective and reliable in-house delivery operation.
• Optimize delivery routes, schedules, and fleet utilization to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
• Set and monitor standards for driver performance and customer service in last-mile delivery, recognizing that our drivers are a key face of our brand.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

• Required: Bachelor's degree
• Required: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in operations or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple departments.
• Essential Industry Experience: You must have a deep background in a business with significant physical inventory, such as retail, wholesale, CPG, or distribution.
• Proven Leader: A demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop managers and their teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data and KPIs to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
• Process Expert: A continuous improvement mindset, with experience in methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks being a strong plus.
• Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of how operational decisions impact the P&L and balance sheet.
• Preferred: Direct experience managing an in-house delivery fleet, procurement, and/or multi-location warehouse operations.
