MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of BS in Civil Engineering or Architecture
  • With 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and cost controlling.
  • Knowledgeable on software such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • With leadership and good communication skills
  • Decision-making skills and Pro-active

JOB SUMMARY:

The Cost Engineer is responsible in monitoring all aspects of the contractual and financial side of projects, minimize the costs of a project, add value to construction process, and maximize value of cost related work applications, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Ensures that assigned works are completed on time and within budget, and to the highest standards possible.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Control of Approved Project Budget

  • Validation of cost-related request items
  • Recording and monitoring of project expenses and savings, including overhead
  • Daily activity report monitoring
  • Re-alignment of project cost as may be required
  • Projection of project cost in completion and savings.

Validates Contractor's Billing

  • Checks the completeness of all attachment required.
  • Cost-related papers are scrutinized to confirm that they are valid for the item/s being billed.

Preparation of Variation Orders

  • Coordinates with construction team in order to identify possible variation orders.
  • Review of available resources (e.g. drawings, specifications, RFI, etc.) for the preparation of variation order/s.
  • Preparation and submission of detailed cost estimate and other related attachments.
  • Facilities reconciliation and approval of variation orders.

Report Generation and Safekeeping of files

  • Generation of accurate monthly cost report and analysis in a consistent and standard format.
  • Control and safekeeping of cost related documents.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
