Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting team by performing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, assisting with reconciliations and reports, and helping maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
- Process financial transactions: prepare check vouchers, journal entries, purchase orders, expense reimbursements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash receipts and credit collection postings.
- Assist in payroll processing, including preparation of employee salaries and related accounting entries (where applicable).
- Prepare and submit financial reports and schedules as required (e.g., monthly reports, audit schedules).
- Support audit preparations and provide documentation needed for internal and external audits.
- Handle administrative tasks related to the accounting department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Accounting Technology or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year in an accounting role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ideally familiar with accounting software / ERP systems.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and Philippine regulatory requirements (tax, bookkeeping) is a plus.
- Previous experience in AP/AR or general accounting in a corporate environment.
Work Schedule:
- Work is onsite in Global Aseana Business Park 1 in San Simon, Pampanga
- Mondays to Saturdays, 8am to 5:30pm
