CAD Product Designer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical and/or mechanical components and systems using CAD software (autodesk Fusion is preferred).
  • Maintain all electromechanical library parts
  • Design and draw cables, wiring harnesses and labels
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and related test reports.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in design processes and product performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during testing and production phases.
  • Adhere to industry standards and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent studies/qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo),
  • Autodesk fusion is preferred
  • Strong knowledge in plastic and metal designs
  • Proven track record of successful product development from concept to launch.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing is essential
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational
  • Fluid Dynamics) tools is a plus but not essential.
