Job Overview
The Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a mission-critical role in generating new sales leads, expanding our client base, and fueling growth for a Fractional Sales Company specializing in SaaS products and services.
This role supports the top of the sales funnel by conducting outbound prospecting, nurturing inbound leads, and booking high-quality sales appointments. The BDR will work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure messaging alignment, smooth handoffs, and optimal conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Prospect into assigned territories or curated lead lists to identify new business opportunities.
- Follow up on inbound leads and convert them into qualified prospects.
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and chat outreach to generate sales opportunities.
- Schedule discovery calls and sales appointments for Account Executives.
Appointment Setting
- Conduct high-volume outbound activity to book qualified appointments.
- Confirm, reschedule, and follow up on appointments to minimize no-shows.
- Pre-qualify leads using structured discovery questions to ensure proper fit before handoff.
- Meet daily/weekly quotas for booked appointments and qualified leads.
CRM & Process Management
- Utilize HubSpot to document all contact interactions, lead stages, and opportunity statuses.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, appointments booked, and conversion outcomes.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to improve outreach messaging and efficiency.
- Provide feedback on tools, workflows, and automation opportunities in a fast-moving environment.
Team Collaboration
- Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth, timely handoff of qualified leads.
- Work with Marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and target personas.
Qualifications & Experience
- minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or appointment setting (B2B SaaS preferred).
- Proven ability to hit or exceed call, activity, and appointment-setting targets.
- Strong prospecting and objection-handling skills, especially in cold outreach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, efficient at time management, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Motivated, results-oriented, and eager to contribute to revenue growth.
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRMs is a strong advantage.
Requirements:
- Must commit to a Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule.
- Must use Time Doctor for time tracking.
- Submission of a valid NBI clearance upon onboarding (background checks required).
