The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Biomedical Engineer to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role involves assessing and maintaining medical and surgical equipment, ensuring safe and efficient device operation by analyzing failures, implementing corrective actions, and enhancing efficiency while adhering to institutional policies.
What's The Role All About?
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Install, calibrate, and adjust medical equipment, conduct safety tests, and provide training to healthcare staff.
- Respond to service requests, assess and repair malfunctioning equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Manage medical tools, spare parts, and equipment inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and secure storage.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and failures while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Participate in training programs and certifications to enhance technical skills and maintain industry standards.
- Evaluate equipment performance, implement corrective actions, and ensure a safe and functional hospital environment.
Who Are We Looking For?
An effective Biomedical Engineering must possess the following skills:
- Technical Expertise:
Installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting medical equipment. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to assess and repair malfunctioning devices. - Preventive Maintenance:

A candidate must be a duly licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) or Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE) with at least one (1) year of biomedical experience in a clinical or related setting. Ideally, the candidate should be a member of the accredited professional organization in good standing and preferably at least two (2) years of biomedical experience in a clinical or related setting.
