Parking Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests and employees entering the parking area.

  • Monitor and direct vehicles to available parking spaces.

  • Issue parking tickets, validate parking, or collect fees when applicable.

  • Enforce parking rules and regulations to ensure order and safety.

  • Patrol parking areas to prevent unauthorized parking and deter theft or vandalism.

  • Report incidents, accidents, or suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.

  • Keep the parking area clean and free of debris or hazards.

  • Provide basic information and directions to guests as needed.

  • Operate barriers, gates, and other access control systems.

  • Coordinate with the security or facilities team during peak hours or special events.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience as a parking attendant, security personnel, or in customer service is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.

  • Basic knowledge of traffic laws and parking regulations.

  • Dependable, courteous, and alert at all times.

Working Conditions:

  • May require working in varying weather conditions.

  • Shift work, including weekends and holidays, may be required.

  • May involve extended periods of standing and walking.
