JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review court documents and correspondence and accurately calendar deadlines in the Firm's docketing system (DocketWare). Administration of NBM (New Business Matters) turnover of resigning lawyers to another lawyer in DocketWare.
  2. Notify lawyers of filing deadlines, court appearances, and depositions.
  3. Complete electronic filing of legal documents by prescribed deadline with various courts.
  4. Prepare and assign the letter request for the auditors' report to the Associates.
  5. Generate reports for lawyers, paralegals, and staff weekly and/or upon request.
  6. Respond to email concerns/inquiries.
  7. Review, analyze, and process incoming notifications from courts, administrative agencies, clients and counsel.
  8. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly docket reports and reminders.
  9. Research various court websites and online resources to obtain court rules and procedures and case information.
  10. Conduct orientation of services to Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Associates, and Partners.
  11. Aid the Manager and Supervisor in the development and maintenance of internal training manuals, standard procedures, work instructions and policies. Develop process improvements for quality control purposes.
  12. Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDES:

Education:  Graduate of 4-year course - preferably related to records management and office administration , Political Science or English.

Experience: With experience as Legal Assistant/Paralegal is highly prioritized
