About the role

We are seeking experienced and dedicated medical coders to join our team at Seven Seven Global Services, Inc.'. This is a full-time, remote position with a morning shift, based in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a medical coder, you will play a crucial role in accurately translating medical procedures and diagnoses into standardised codes, ensuring efficient and compliant medical billing and reimbursement processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Review medical records and documentation to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures
  2. Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical services
  3. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
  5. Maintain detailed records and documentation to support coding decisions
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines and regulations
  7. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the coding process

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 4 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a healthcare setting
  2. Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
  3. Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately interpret medical documentation
  5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  6. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  7. Proficiency in using coding and billing software
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
