ACCOUNTANT (Manila-Based)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in a food group, restaurant, or food manufacturing environment. The role requires someone who can confidently handle end-to-end accounting and support the finance team in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
•Manage the full accounting cycle: journal entries, general ledger, and reconciliations.
•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
•Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
•Financial Reporting & Analysis
•Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
•Monitor and analyze financial data to support decision-making.
•Ensure accuracy of cost allocations, expense recording, and revenue tracking.
Compliance & Audit
•Ensure compliance with BIR and other government reporting requirements.
•Prepare schedules, documentation, and support for internal and external audits.
•Inventory & Cost Monitoring (Food Industry-Specific)
•Coordinate with operations for inventory counts and reconciliations.
•Review food cost variances, spoilage reports, and usage trends.
•Help maintain accuracy of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting.
Process Improvement
•Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, controls, and documentation.
•Support system updates or financial process enhancements.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
•CPA preferred but not required.
•At least 2 years of experience in an end-to-end accounting role, ideally within the food group / food industry.
•Strong understanding of Philippine accounting standards and BIR compliance.
•Highly organized, analytical, and able to meet deadlines.
•Willing to work onsite (office-based) in Manila.
•Willing to start ASAP.
