Onboarding Analyst (WFH)

Job Description:

  • Contact clients and counterparties to request required KYC information and documents promptly and professionally, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify client information using approved internal data sources and certified documents.
  • Perform KYC checks on individuals and corporate entities, including PEP, Sanctions, and Adverse Media screening, and escalate suspicious findings to the compliance team when needed.
  • Conduct periodic and event-driven reviews of client information to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Ensure onboarding and periodic reviews completed complies with all AML, CDD, KYC, and regulatory requirements, as well as internal company standards and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with financial crime regulations, including AML and KYC requirements, and apply this knowledge to daily work.
  • Analyse client ownership structures, business activities, transactions, and geographic risks to identify potential financial crime risks.
  • Carry out enhanced due diligence when required, such as reviewing documentation, analysing transactions, and conducting online research.
  • Review and manage alerts from sanctions, watchlist, and AML transaction monitoring systems, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders, sharing information as needed and participating in regular update calls or meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Proven 4-5 years of experience in AML, KYC, and CDD processes, ideally within financial services, banking, or brokerage industries.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and managing complex, high-risk cases involving corporate and multi-layered structures, offshore entities, trusts, partnerships, charities, funds, PEPs, and high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations, market practices, and KYC requirements.
  • Skilled in identifying risk indicators and assessing as well as verifying the source of wealth and source of funds for entities.
  • Knowledge or interest in crypto assets and emerging financial technologies.
  • Ability to work accurately and deliver high-quality results under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
