Subject Matter Expert (Xero Accounting System Administrator)Overview:

A Xero Accounting System Administrator (SME) is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Xero platform within an organization. This person ensures that Xero is configured to meet business needs, users are properly supported and trained, and financial data integrity is upheld.

Key Responsibilities:1. System Configuration & Management

  • Configure Xero settings including chart of accounts, tracking categories, and financial settings.
  • Manage integrations with other software (e.g., payroll systems, inventory, CRMs).

  • Set up and maintain bank feeds, payment gateways, and automated workflows.

  • User Administration

  • Add/remove users and manage user roles/permissions.

  • Train staff on how to use Xero efficiently and securely.

  • Monitor user activity and access compliance.

  • Financial Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry and reconciliation.

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes within Xero.

  • Assist with audits by providing accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Process Optimization

  • Streamline workflows using Xero add-ons and third-party integrations.

  • Customize invoice templates, reports, and dashboards for business use.

  • Implement automation where possible to reduce manual data entry.

  • Support & Troubleshooting

  • Act as the go-to expert for any Xero-related issues or questions.

  • Liaise with Xero support when needed.

  • Maintain documentation and best practices for using the system.

  • Compliance & Security

  • Ensure the system is used in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Monitor access controls and data security protocols.
  • Stay up to date with Xero updates and new feature rollouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the Xero Accounting platform, including core accounting functions.
  • Understanding of GAAP/IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in cloud accounting integrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Hubdoc, Gusto).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective training and communication abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month
