The Media Buyer is responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and scaling paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, such as Facebook, Google, TikTok, and other digital ad networks. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional strategic planning skills, and the ability to manage significant ad budgets efficiently.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, performance-oriented, and capable of making high-impact decisions in a fast-paced onsite environment. The Media Buyer works closely with creatives, marketing strategists, and clients to ensure campaigns deliver strong ROI and meet business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Campaign Planning & Strategy
  • Develop effective media buying strategies aligned with client goals
  • Conduct audience and competitor research to identify targeting opportunities
  • Allocate budgets strategically based on campaign stages (testing, scaling, retargeting)
  • Select relevant platforms (FB, Google, TikTok, etc.) depending on campaign objectives
2. Campaign Execution
  • Set up campaigns inside different ad platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads)
  • Configure ad sets/ad groups including targeting, placements, bidding, and budgets
  • Implement retargeting, lookalike audiences, custom audiences, and segmented strategies
  • Coordinate with creative teams to ensure ad assets match campaign goals
3. Optimization & Scaling
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and adjust based on data and KPIs
  • Optimize ads for better CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, and ROAS
  • Scale winning campaigns while controlling spend efficiently
  • Pause or replace low-performing campaigns to maintain strong account health
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Prepare detailed performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Interpret metrics and recommend improvements
  • Identify patterns and trends from campaign data
  • Present insights to clients or management with clear explanations
5. Collaboration & Communication
  • Work onsite with creative teams for ad concepts and direction
  • Communicate campaign needs, requests, and performance updates
  • Coordinate with designers, videographers, and copywriters for asset creation
  • Work closely with the marketing team for overall strategy alignment
6. Compliance & Troubleshooting
  • Ensure all ads adhere to platform policies
  • Address ad disapprovals, restrictions, and account issues promptly
  • Stay updated with platform changes and algorithm updates
QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills
  • Strong background in paid advertising (FB, Google, TikTok, etc.)
  • Ability to manage high-budget ad spend
  • Deep understanding of ad performance metrics and analytics
  • Experience in scaling campaigns and improving ROAS
  • Familiarity with dashboards, trackers, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, attribution, and funnel optimization
