Position Overview

Sekuro is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust cloud security platforms across our Managed Security Services that could impact our clients' operations. You will work with technical practitioners who combine deep technical expertise with practical business acumen, ensuring the successful design and deployment of sophisticated cloud security solutions that serve and protect corporate enterprises globally.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer within Sekuro's MSS team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust cloud security platforms across our Managed Security Services.

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise cloud security platforms across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments to ensure optimal security posture and service delivery.

• Develop and maintain in-house and client-facing technical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism, including cloud architecture diagrams, security configuration standards, and operational procedures.

• Contribute to proposed technical solutions and provide expert recommendations to ensure alignment with organisational and client security objectives.

• Conduct security assessments of cloud infrastructure and configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

• Effectively communicate and present cloud security concepts to various stakeholders, including management-level personnel and technical teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of the implemented security capabilities and their impact on our clients' cloud security posture.

• Collaborate closely with the security operations team to analyse, investigate, and respond to cloud security incidents, providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve our incident response processes.

• Translate complex technical cloud security concepts into business-relevant insights and recommendations for leadership and clients.

• Provide technical expertise for the strategic development of MSS Cloud Security Engineering services, including identifying emerging technologies and maintaining knowledge of industry best practices.

• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimisation of cloud security platforms to ensure service level agreements are consistently met.

• Support the implementation of cloud security policies, identity and access management controls, cloud workload protection, and cloud-native security services across multiple client environments.

Experience:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing security services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, with deep understanding of cloud-native security tools and services.

• Proven expertise in cloud security posture management (CSPM) solutions such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or similar platforms.

• Experience with cloud workload protection platforms (CWPP) and container security solutions including Kubernetes security, Docker security, and serverless security controls.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts including identity and access management (IAM), zero trust architecture, cloud network security, encryption, key management, and secure DevOps practices.

• Experience with cloud security monitoring, logging, and SIEM integration including CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Microsoft Sentinel, GCP Cloud Logging, and security event correlation.

• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and NIST, and their application to cloud security design.

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation, security advisories, and reports.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages for cloud security configuration management and incident response.

• Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CCSP, or equivalent qualifications, which would be highly regarded.
