SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helps in the selection, assignment, scheduling and training of the Property Management Department Staff.
- Supervise the work/activities of the custodian staff.
- Check and monitor monthly inventory of the hospital properties.
- Conduct monthly physical inventory of office supplies and materials with the custodian and accounting staff.
- Check and monitor for update of data.
- Supervise the custodian staff and purchasing officer in receiving deliveries.
- Check and approve monthly receiving report of deliveries.
- Ensure that all equipment is used for approved by the department head and not for personal again.
- Exercising "reasonable care" for equipment safekeeping. Ensuring equipment is in good working condition or equipment maintenance needs are met.
- Ensuring equipment is assigned/used by a responsible who has been made aware of his/her respective responsibilities property and is property trained in its use and pertinent safety issue.
- Ensuring Equipment is accessible at all times for audit purposes.
- Reporting Missing or stolen property to the Department Property Contact or Department head within 24hrs. of discovery.
- Coordinating with the Departmental Property Contact for Proper removal of equipment.
- Informing the departmental property contact of changes in custodian and/or end user.
