The Role

As a Junior Education Internal Auditor & Compliance Officer, you'll work within our Audit & Quality team to conduct structured internal audits, review systems and records, and help ensure our client RTOs meet the Standards for RTOs 2025 (SRTO 2025) and related quality frameworks. You'll gain hands-on experience in audit practices, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance while contributing to continuous improvement projects that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct internal audits against SRTO 2025 using structured audit checklists.

·       Review learning and assessment resources to ensure alignment with and ASQA standards.

·       Audit assessment tools for compliance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence.

·       Review and maintain critical RTO records, including TAS, trainer/assessor credentials, PD logs, and CI registers.

·       Support audit preparation, evidence collation, and rectification tracking.

·       Prepare audit reports and file reviews summarising key findings.

·       Assist in post-audit monitoring and documenting continuous improvement actions.

·       Provide first-line compliance guidance using Bluedge templates and practice guides.

·       Contribute to training sessions and quality briefings for clients and internal teams.

·       Detail-oriented, organised, and methodical in your approach to work.

·       Strong written English and reporting skills.

·       Keen interest in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance within education.

·       Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a professional team environment.

·       A can-do attitude

·       Self-starter/motivator

Desirable Skills

·       Familiarity with audit or quality management frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001:2015).

·       Experience with LMS/SMS administration or document management systems.

·       Proficiency in cloud-based tools such as SharePoint, Google Drive, or Microsoft 365.

·       Exposure to RTO operations, compliance, or assessment validation (advantageous).
