We are seeking highly motivated Outside Plant (OSP) Technician /Splicer to join our team. The Outside Plant (OSP) Technician/Splicer of One Intranet Corporation, is responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables for both aerial and underground networks. This position ensures accurate and high-quality connections that support the company's internet and network infrastructure. The Splicer works closely with the OSP team to guarantee service reliability, perform repairs, and support network expansion projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform fusion splicing and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables.
  • Conduct OTDR testing, power meter readings, and continuity checks to verify cable integrity.
  • Prepare and organize fiber optic cables, closures, and patch panels according to design standards.
  • Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground fiber networks.
  • Coordinate with Network Operations Center (NOC) and Dispatch team for testing and restoration activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of splicing activities, cable routes, and test results.
  • Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.
  • Ensure all work follows safety, quality, and company standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and restoration during outages or service degradation.
  • Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and preventive maintenance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Vocational Graduate in Electronics, Electrical, or any related course.
  • With experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing (fusion splicing preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in using fiber testing tools such as OTDR, power meter, and VFL.
  • Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.
  • With driver's license (restriction 1, 2, or higher) is an advantage.
  • Can work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, when required for maintenance or repairs.
  • Team player, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
