The position of an Assistant Plant Manager is overall responsible for the smooth operations of the plant towards attaining its efficiency utilizing all available resources relative to manpower, machines, money, materials, and method among others.

Responsibilities.

He/She needs to be able to do the following:

  • Responds to the demands of the client through its sales team relative to the finished goods.
  • Provides an environment of continuous development for its team in various sections of the plant.
  • Has operative experience in allocation of resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal results.
  • Extensive involvement in implementing strategies that provides a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of plant machinery, metrics, and requirements.
  • Exhibits decisiveness and creativity with strong leadership.
  • Does effective material resources planning.

Requirements.

To succeed in the job one must have the following:

  • Graduate of BS Engineering or its related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a plant-based operations management role.
  • Food industry experience is a clear advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate and fluent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Functional knowledge in the operations of Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to identify and nurture the potential of individuals in a team and facilitate their growth and development through training and coaching.
