Job description:

Job Summary / Position Objectives:

The Accounting Staff primarily assists the Branch Accountant in recording AR & AP, as secondary Branch Cashier, reporting of government remittances and preparation of billing statement for Account customers. Secondary responsibility as Branch Admin and Claims In Charge.

Key Results Areas / Duties and Responsibilities :

1. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

a. Will assist the BA in checking & recording of SOAs from suppliers of goods & services

b. Will prepare necessary documents like RFP & APV and forward to BA for checking &

scheduling of payments

c. In charge in receiving SOAs from clients

2. CASHIERING

a. Will assist in cashiering in the event cashier is absent or not available.

3. BILLING

a. Prints BL per voyage.

b. Prints Billing Statement per Account client.

c. Segregates billing per client and submits to collector for submission to clients.

d. Records date bill received by clients in OSS.

4. ADMINISTRATIVE

a. Prepare monthly SSS, HDMF, & PHIC contribution & loan report

b. Authorized representative for SSS, PHIC, & HDMF

c. Reports PLDT & Globe concerns (ex. Internet interruptions, line problems, etc.)

d. Prepare transmittal of documents & parts sent to Manila

5. CLAIMS

a. Assess damage as reported by checkers.

b. Conduct Joint Survey & Site visits.

c. Assess claims filed by clients.

d. Prepare claims report & submit to Home Office.

e. File claims at e-claim.

f. Follow up necessary documents needed to complete the filed claims.

g. Follow up with Home Office as to status of the claim.

h. Serve notices/letters regarding the claim.

Job Qualification

I. EDUCATION

  • College graduate of any Accounting or Finance course

II. EXPERIENCE

  • With relevant experience in the same field of expertise.

III. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Computer literate

  • Good communication skills (oral, written on both Filipino and English)

  • Analytical

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Willing to work Monday to Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Located at Port 4 BREDCO, Reclamation Area, Barangay, Bacolod, 6100 Negros Occidental
