Key Responsibilities:

1. Demand Forecasting:

- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and business insights.

- Utilize statistical tools and software to predict future product demand.

- Regularly update forecasts based on changes in market conditions, promotional activities, and product lifecycle stages.

  1. Collaboration with Supply Planners:
  2. Work closely with Supply Planners to ensure that supply plans align with demand forecasts.
  3. Communicate forecast changes promptly to Supply Planners to adjust shipment schedules and inventory plans.

  4. Participate in regular supply planning meetings to discuss forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and potential supply chain disruptions.

  5. Collaboration with Business Unit Heads:

  6. Engage with Business Unit Heads to understand sales targets, marketing plans, and product launches.
  7. Incorporate business unit inputs into demand forecasts to ensure alignment with overall business strategies.

  8. Provide demand insights and analytics to support decision-making by Business Unit Heads.

  9. Inventory Management:

  10. Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is available to meet demand without excessive overstock.
  11. Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborate with BU Heads to develop action plans.

  12. Analyze and report on key inventory metrics such as turnover rates, stockouts, and service levels.

  13. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):

  14. Participate in the S&OP process to align demand forecasts with sales and production plans.
  15. Present demand forecasts and assumptions during S&OP meetings, addressing any discrepancies or concerns.

  16. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve consensus on demand plans and resolve conflicts.

  17. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  18. Analyze sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to refine demand forecasts.
  19. Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, demand trends, and inventory performance.

  20. Use insights from data analysis to recommend improvements in forecasting processes and strategies.

  21. Continuous Improvement:

  22. Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes and tools.
  23. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning and supply chain management.
  24. Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.

- Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related supply chain role.

- Experience working with forecasting software and ERP systems.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Other Requirements:

- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.

- Familiarity with S&OP processes.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
