Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and develop the company's financial planning and accounting processes for the Philippine entity
  • Oversee and control budget utilization and cash flows in line with company strategy and group policies
  • Prepare financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and record financial transactions in compliance with company policies and Philippine regulations
  • Handle payroll setup and processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
  • Draft, maintain, and manage accounting documentation and document circulation
  • Track employee registration, deregistration, and vacation records
  • Oversee payments and settlements, including invoicing and accounts receivable/payable
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of internal financial reporting
  • Design and implement accounting processes and internal controls from the ground up
  • Stay up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation in the Philippines and ensure compliance
  • Provide income and expense analysis to support management decision-making
  • Monitor accounting of fixed assets and consumables
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports to relevant authorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to company setup or scaling phases
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Experience with payroll setup and employee-related accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and build processes from scratch
