Automotive Technical Trainer for New Vehicles

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive technical training programs for new vehicles. The goal is to elevate the knowledge and performance of our dealer Service Technicians, Service Advisors, and Warranty Personnel about the new vehicles.

About the opportunity

  • Develop, manage, and execute all technical preparations and logistical requirements necessary for the New Vehicle Launch Program.
  • Serve as the primary technical person in charge by coordinating closely with the Sales, After Sales, and Product Planning teams to ensure seamless technical readiness for new model launches.
  • Create and develop technical training manuals and diagnostic guides for the new vehicle's features, systems, and repair procedures.
  • Conduct a Training Needs Analysis focused on new vehicles to accurately identify specific knowledge and skill gaps among Dealer Technicians and Foremen.
  • Design and develop new-vehicle-specific technical training modules and programs based on the TNA results.
  • Prepare and implement new-vehicle training plans that are strategically aligned with the Training Academy's objectives and the vehicle launch timeline.
  • Lead and facilitate the technical training delivery for Service Technicians and other After Sales Support Personnel, focusing heavily on new vehicle technology, specialized tools, and diagnostic protocols.
  • Provide hands-on, expert coaching and mentorship during on-site or in-dealer training, emphasizing the new-vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee and manage all training logistics, ensuring the timely preparation, allocation, and maintenance of necessary training vehicles, specialized tools, and technical resources for effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with the After-Sales Technical Department to monitor and evaluate post-training technical performance on the new model, identifying areas for continuous improvement in dealer technical competency.

Qualifications

  • A graduate of BS Automotive Engineering or any related courses
  • Preferably with at least 3 years of experience as a Dealer Technical Lead and a year as a Dealer In-house Trainer
  • Work experience in an automotive distributorship is an advantage
  • Must possess advanced vehicle diagnosing skills
  • Knowledgeable on new vehicle technology (Experience working on EV, PHEV, and Hybrid vehicles is an advantage)
  • Proficient in using MS Office Applications
  • Willing to work in Calamba, Laguna, and may do field work as needed
  • Preferably with a valid and active Driver's License
