The Product Research & Development Specialist will play a critical role in identifying market trends, compiling detailed product specifications, and liaising with manufacturers to ensure top-quality hat apparel designs. This role requires expertise in market analysis, material selection, and factory coordination, with a strong understanding of consumer preferences in the fashion and accessories industry. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and negotiation prowess to enhance product quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on hat apparel trends, styles, materials, and competitor offerings.
  • Compile detailed product specifications, including fabric types, stitching methods, and sizing variations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and factories to ensure high-quality production while optimizing costs.
  • Maintain strong communication with manufacturers, addressing production details and troubleshooting issues.
  • Oversee production schedules and ensure timely product launches.
  • Work closely with designers and marketing teams to align product development with brand vision and consumer demand.
  • Manage coordination across various time zones, particularly overlapping with Chinese and NY markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in market research, product development, or apparel manufacturing coordination.
  • Strong understanding of hat apparel trends, materials, and production techniques.
  • Proficiency in supplier negotiations and factory communications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze product feasibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively across different time zones.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, sourcing, and supply chain management is a plus.
