Procurement Associate

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of 4- or 5-year course: preferably Supply Chain or Engineering course.
• Minimum 2-3 years work experience.
• Computer Literate
• Good communication skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Negotiation skills

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identifies and sources potential vendors for the requirements.
• Sends out requests for proposal to vendors.
• Facilitates pre-bid and clarification meetings.
• Facilitates submission and opening of bids aligned with approved authority metrics.
• Tabulates bids received and prepares canvass sheet.
• Coordinates with the cost management group on the evaluation of proposals from vendors.
• Negotiates with the vendors to obtoin the most advantageoUS offer for the company in terms of pricing. quality, and terms of payment, among others.
• Endorses awards to management, including the Bids and Awards Committee as applicable, for approval.
• Issues Purchase Order for material requirements.
• Issues Purchase Order, Job Order, and contract for services requirements.
• Facilitates submission of required bonds as applicable.
• Processes and monitors status of all requests for payment (RFP) for advance payments and down payments.
• Coordinates with vendors on the delivery of materials or mobilization of personnel in the case of contractors.
• Updates Material Delivery Schedule (MDS) monitoring. contractor loading. and other monitoring files.
• Facilitates post award meetings/coordination with vendors as deemed needed.
• Perforns other duties that may be assigned from time to time
