Welding Department Head

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering graduate or any related engineering vocational course
• Has background or experience in welding field of works
• Knowledge in structural design and piping systems
• Experience in fishing vessel or carriers
• Background in managerial or supervisory position
• Willing to work in Navotas City

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

2. Lead, mentor, and manage the welding team, ensuring a high level of performance and adherence to safety protocols.

3. Develop training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of welding staff, promoting professional development and career growth.
4. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

5. Operational Oversight:

6. Oversee daily welding operations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards and company requirements.

7. Develop and implement work schedules, resource allocation, and project timelines to optimize productivity.
8. Monitor and evaluate welding processes and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

9. Quality Assurance:

10. Ensure that all welding work meets industry standards and specifications, conducting inspections and audits as necessary.

11. Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation to track welding processes and outcomes.
12. Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed.

13. Safety and Compliance:

14. Promote a culture of safety within the department, ensuring all team members adhere to safety regulations and best practices.

16. Ensure compliance with company, statutory and classification society regulations related to welding operations and environmental standards.

20. Prepare and present budget reports to upper management, outlining expenditures, savings, and future investment needs.

22. Collaborate with other departments, specifically operation and quality control, to coordinate welding activities and support overall company objectives.
