Job Summary:

Handles and efficiently operates Ground Support Equipment by the manufacturer and customer airline(s) requirements to ensure safe and secure operations.

Role Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe operation of the equipment assigned.
  • Conducts equipment physical and operational checks, accomplishes checklist, and ensures good operational condition upon acceptance
  • Tows all cargo and baggage pushcarts to and from the cargo warehouse and baggage build-up area.
  • Ensures that the cargo towed-out is accepted by the DS-Ramp assigned at the planes
  • Safely operates and connects the Ground Services Equipment to the aircraft
  • Performs the required brake checks before approaching the aircraft
  • After operations, safely parks the equipment to their respective parking areas, accomplishes checklist and complies with the proper turnover procedures.
  • Completes unloading/loading of baggage and cargo to/from the corresponding compartment within the prescribed time by the carrier.
  • Ensures proper usage and handling of all flight-related equipment (e.g. cones, chocks, air stairs/aviramp, ULD, tail stand, trolley, umbrella, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High school graduates are accepted for the role
  • Must have active LTO Professional Driver's License (with 1,2 or 1,2,3 restriction code)
  • With at least 1 year of driving a 4wheel vehicle
  • Preferably with NBI (6 months validity)
