The role supports laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, cleanliness and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices. It also involves training team members, contributing to laboratory projects, and supporting laboratory customers activities, all while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts laboratory analyses of various food and environmental samples.
  • Provides training and guidance to company members on laboratory procedures.
  • Prepares culture media and other testing materials.
  • Completes worksheets, compiles test results, and prepares reports.
  • Monitors and maintains laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures overall cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
  • Performs decontamination and sterilization of glassware.
  • Collects samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Leads and participates in laboratory research and improvement projects.
  • Supports operations and projects in the identified customers.
  • Adheres to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: BS Biology/BS Biology major in Microbiology
  • Experience: min. one year food microbiology laboratory experience
  • Special Skills: Knowledgeable in ISO 17025:2017
