Accounting Assistant/Payroll Master

A Payroll Master manages employee compensation, ensuring accurate and timely payment by processing timesheets, calculating wages, handling deductions (tax, benefits, etc.), and distributing paychecks, while also maintaining records, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, often using payroll/HR software.
Candidates must have 1-2 years of payroll processing experience.
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
Accounting experience is essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Payroll Processing: Collect and verify timesheets, calculate hours, bonuses, allowances, and deductions.
- Payment Distribution: Schedule and process direct deposits or prepare paychecks.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate employee data, including ban details, tax information, and leave balances.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local tax laws, labor legislation, and company policies.
- Basic understanding of Philippine labour law is required.
- Reporting: Generate payroll expense reports, payment statements, and other internal/external reports.
- Employee Support: Answers employee questions regarding pay, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Data Integrity: Use payroll software and spreadsheets to manage data and identify errors.
- Experience with payroll software is required.
