PRIMARY ROLE AND PURPOSE
The Plant Superintendent oversees daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal production output, efficiency, safety, and quality standards. This role involves supervising production teams, coordinating with maintenance and engineering, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to support business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Graduate Studies : N/A
Licensure Examination: PRC is an advantage
General Skills :
o Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or production facility.
o Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
o Excellent knowledge of manufacturing systems, safety protocols, and quality control.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
o Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supervise and lead production supervisors, technicians, and operators across all shifts.
- Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are met or exceeded.
- Monitor plant operations for efficiency, productivity, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Enforce safety and environmental procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with maintenance to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and downtime is minimized.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train and develop production staff, conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Maintain inventory control, working closely with procurement and warehouse teams.
- Support budgeting and cost control efforts to maximize profitability.
- Communicate production issues and progress to upper management regularly.
