The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Duties include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance (oil changes, brake services, tire rotations, etc.), and conducting complex repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other components. The mechanic will also maintain accurate service records, ensure compliance with safety standards, and deliver quality workmanship to meet customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repair services.
  • Test vehicle performance to ensure proper operation after service.
  • Use tools, equipment, and diagnostic software effectively and safely.
  • Communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors or customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification (TESDA/ASE) preferred.
