Solar PV Engineer – Business Development, Installation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar PV Engineer with proven leadership in business development, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and commercial acumen to lead solar projects from concept to completion, while driving sales growth and maintaining high operational standards.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical foundations, capable of managing teams, engaging clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering long-term partnerships in the renewable energy sector.

Compensation Range (Depending on Experience and Level):

Mid-Level - ₱35,000 – ₱45,000

• 5–7 years relevant solar PV engineering, project management, and business development experience

Senior Level - ₱45,000 – ₱55,000

• 7–10 years, proven leadership in large-scale solar projects, advanced certifications

Top-Level / Managerial - ₱55,000 – ₱65,000+

• 10+ years, strategic leadership, business development head, portfolio management

Note: Final salary offer will be based on qualifications, leadership capacity, project portfolio value, and contribution to company growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Client Engagement

• Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new solar PV projects (commercial, industrial, and residential).
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and feasibility studies.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable terms for the company.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the solar industry.

2. Project Planning & Installation

• Lead the design, engineering, and installation of solar PV systems in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct site assessments, load analysis, and system sizing.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, and vendor management for solar components.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.

3. Operations, Maintenance & After-Sales Service

• Develop and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for installed systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement technical solutions.
• Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Manage warranties, service agreements, and client satisfaction metrics.

4. Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and renewable energy regulations.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between technical, sales, and finance teams.
• Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in solar PV systems, with significant exposure to business development, project installation, and maintenance.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent certifications (e.g., PRC, DOE-recognized solar PV installer).
• Strong knowledge of solar PV design software, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in closing solar PV projects and managing multi-million peso budgets.

Business Development **

• Number of new projects secured; at least3–5 major projects per year
• Sales revenue generated from solar PV projects; measured through annual sales target achievement (%)
• Proposal-to-contract conversion rate; at least ≥ 30%

Project Execution

• On-time project completion rate; at least ≥ 95%
• Installation quality compliance; zero major non-conformance
• Budget adherence; under ≤ 5% variance

Operations & Maintenance

• System uptime/performance ratio; rating should be at ≥ 98%
• SLA compliance for service requests; rating should be at ≥ 95%

Leadership & Team

• Employee retention rate in team; rating should be at ≥ 90% annually
• Training hours for team; hours fulfilled must at least be ≥ 20 hours/year

Customer Satisfaction

• Client satisfaction score; rating should be at ≥ 90% positive rating

Compliance & Safety

• Safety incident rate; zero lost-time incidents

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
