Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Solar PV + Battery Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing solar PV systems and battery storage solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, field experience, and strong communication skills to ensure the delivery of top-notch solar energy projects.
  

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering:

• Develop detailed solar PV and battery storage system designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  
• Perform system sizing, energy yield analysis, and financial modelling.
  
• Create single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and electrical schematics using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, Open Solar).
  

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support and assist in the preparation of project proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
  
• Work closely with Solar & BESS division projects teams for successful delivery of the project by ensuring the designs are implemented correctly and efficiently.
  
• Coordinate with utility companies, permitting authorities, and other stakeholders as needed.
  
• Work closely with Energy Efficiency division projects team & compliance team for preparation of Lighting plan/drawings as required for the submission.
  

Quality Assurance:

• Pre-Installation desktop quality assurance: Conduct assessments to evaluate the solar and battery potential of different locations, including shade analysis, solar access, clearance requirement (as per the rebate programs). Use specialized tools and software to collect and analyze data.
  
• Ensure all designs meet company standards, industry best practices, and local regulations.
  

Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting:

• Assist in the testing and commissioning of solar PV & Battery systems, including performance remote online testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  
• Conduct post-installation reviews and performance assessments to verify system functionality and client satisfaction.
  
• Work with major manufacturers to sort out technical enquiry from customers and perform troubleshooting when necessary.
  

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including design files, site visit reports, communication logs, commissioning docs etc.
  
• Provide regular updates to project managers and clients on project status and any design-related issues.
  

Ongoing knowledge learning:

• Stay updated with the latest developments and innovations in solar PV and battery technology, regulations, and industry trends.
  
• Participate in research and development activities to identify and implement new technologies and best practices. Company will provide product training over time.
  

RequirementsMust Have

• A degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering experience or Solar PV System Design, with a focus on solar/battery storage solutions.
  
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and OpenSolar
  
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and best practices related to solar PV and battery systems.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
  
• Great impression and confidence matter Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  

Good-To-Have:

• Hands-on experience on PVsyst, Helioscope, Orkestra, and other relevant tools.
  
• Experience in Solar PV
