International Safety Management Manager

Job Purpose:

The ISM Manager is responsible in ensuring that SMD has an effective and updated Safety Management System aligned and compliant with ISM and other regulatory requirements to support sea worthiness of the fleet.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Properly documented SMS. Proper Management of inspections,audits,surveys both internal and external. On-time closure of all findings.
  • Regular visits to websites of ISM,MARINA,PCG,DOLE for updating on requirements
  • On-time issuance of memos pertaining to new circulars, directives, deptartment order of regulatory bodies.
  • Implement agreed strategies and projects to for a more effective implementation of and compliance to the Safety Management System.
  • Provide recommendations as a result of analyzing statistics related to Safety Management Systems, as input to the annual Management Review Builds strong partnership with regulatory bodies leads, representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably Maritime Courses
  • 3 years related experience
  • Maritime Operations
