Job Summary:

The accounting bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role involves recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in managing the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Maintain general ledgers, journals, and other financial records.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense reports.
  • Prepare and file tax-related documents as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash and payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide financial data and reports to management for decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location: Banilad, Mandaue City

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, full-time
