Compensation: Competitive Basic Salary

Work Schedule: 5-day work week, 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Philippine Time

Work Setup: Permanent WFH

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, architectural, or civil disciplines. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and project budgeting preferably with exposure to U.S. college and university projects, particularly in California. This role will play a key part in developing accurate cost assessments, supporting sustainable project designs, and ensuring financial efficiency in all phases of construction planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid documents for mechanical, electrical, architectural, or civil works.
  • Perform quantity take-offs (QTO) and material cost analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to align project costs with technical and sustainability goals.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support U.S.-based project teams, especially in the higher education sector (colleges/universities in California).
  • Conduct value engineering and life-cycle cost analysis to enhance project sustainability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all cost data and estimates comply with international and local standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cost estimating or quantity surveying.
  • Proven experience with U.S. higher education or institutional projects, ideally in California.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices, LEED, or equivalent frameworks preferred.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and QTO software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX, RSMeans, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in an international project environment.
