The main responsibilities of a GENERAL ACCOUNTING SENIOR SPECIALIST include:

  • Prepare accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with established policies and accounting standards.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, postings, and transactions to ensure accurate, complete, and timely monthly closings.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Assist with budget preparation and budget reviews, helping departments manage financial resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports, including ledger maintenance and preparation of tax filings.
  • Collaborate with external auditors as needed to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree Graduate
  • 2-3 years in the field of General Accounting or related work scope
