The QA Officer/ISO Point Person is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer specifications. This role involves overseeing all quality control activities, managing documentation, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement in the corrugated box manufacturing process.
- Quality Management System (QMS) Management: Establish, implement, monitor, and maintain QMS processes and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Control quality-related documents, records, and reports, including inspection logs, non-conformance reports, and statistical data for management review.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions (CAPA): investigate quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conforming products. Conduct root cause analyses and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Training and Awareness: Train production staff and other employees on quality standards, procedures, and their role within the QMS to foster a quality culture.
- Audits and Compliance: Plan and conduct internal quality audits and prepare for external certification, regulatory, and customer audits.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Technology, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in manufacturing, preferably corrugated box/packaging industry.
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with relevant industry-specific quality testing methods and specifications for corrugated board.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
