The Business Development Trainee will support the growth of a fast-scaling startup by gaining hands-on exposure across business strategy, operations, and marketing. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, contributing to market development and brand-building initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Business Development and Strategy

  • Assist in preparing and tracking business plans, financial targets, and growth initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Support negotiations and communications with principals, suppliers, and potential partners.
  • Help monitor key business metrics such as revenue, profitability, and project execution.

2. Operations Support

  • Participate in branch visits and operational reviews to understand on-the-ground challenges.
  • Help coordinate implementation of business and marketing initiatives at the store/branch level.
  • Work with Operations Team to ensure alignment on strategic goals.

3. Marketing and Brand Development

  • Assist in developing brand strategies, campaigns, and promotional plans.
  • Contribute to new product launches and marketing events.
  • Help create digital and in-store marketing collaterals.
  • Support PR, media, and social media opportunities to grow brand presence.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of a Management, Marketing, Business, or related course (open to fresh graduates with strong potential)
  2. Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required for communication with principals and partners
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Filipino
  4. Analytical, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  5. Entrepreneurial mindset — adaptable, proactive, and excited to contribute to business growth
  6. Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders
