Project Engineer Intern

As an Engineering intern in the Project Management Office, you will gain hands-on exposure to the planning, coordination, and execution of IoT-Based Home Automation Projects. This internship is designed to provide foundational knowledge in project workflows by shadowing experienced Project Manager and Project-in-Charge personnel. The intern will observe live project activities, assist with documentation, and learn project tracking and reporting techniques

Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling

● Shadow the Project Manager and Project-in-Charge during planning meetings, client updates

● Assist in reviewing project schedules and site reports

● Attend and take notes in coordination and kick-off meetings with clients, team, and stakeholders

On-site Observation / Execution Phase

● Observe and document key phases of a home automation project lifecycle

● Visit ongoing sites with PIC and observe technician coordination, device installation and programming

● Understand safety, timelines, and site communication

Documentation and Risk Management

● Participate in preparing and reviewing basic project documentation (e.g., task list, punch list, site observation reports)

● Learn and apply basic project tracking tools (e.g., Gantt charts, project dashboards, trackers)

● Utilize AutoCAD software to create, modify and update technical drawings and layouts as required

● Learn how PM and PIC handle risks and issues

● Present a short summary of observations and learning outcomes at the end of the internship

Job Types: Temporary, OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 3 months
