Job Description

  • Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in retail banking portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Excel) to support risk analysis and business decisions.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using SQL and ETL technologies to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Apply statistical and analytical tools (Python, R, SPSS, SAS) to support risk modeling, forecasting, and segmentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable analytics.
  • Contribute to the development of risk models and stress testing frameworks aligned with regulatory standards.

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Risk Data Scientist Should Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in data science with hands-on exposure to risk modeling
  • Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods, classical machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Familiarity with risk scoring models, credit risk analytics, or predictive modeling in financial services

Nice To Have

  • Design thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with SQL, Spark, and Docker
  • Understanding of banking products, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to lead small teams or projects and communicate insights to stakeholders
