Job Description

As a Mechanical HVAC Estimator, you will review mechanical drawings, perform fan selections, and prepare cost estimates to ensure accurate and competitive tender submissions. You'll collaborate with suppliers, sales, and project teams to deliver optimized technical and commercial proposals.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or relevant trade background.
• 2-5 years' experience in HVAC estimating, project engineering, or mechanical services.
• Strong technical knowledge of fans, ventilation equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in fan selection software (training provided if required).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Your Daily Tasks

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Carry out fan selections using fan selection software to ensure correct sizing and performance.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing.
• Work with the sales and projects team to develop accurate technical and commercial proposals.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize performance and costs.
• Maintain estimating database, supplier contacts, and pricing information.
