Admitting Staff

I. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitates admission of patient from different areas of origin and ensures that process is performed effectively and efficient.

2. Get the complete and accurate patient data.

3. Explains to patient's/patients relative all information in admitting documents.

4. Ensures that all admitting papers are signed by the patient or his/her authorized representative.

5. Discusses with patient/patients representative the required advanced payment.

6. Discusses with patient/patients representative the Philhealth requirements if applicable.

7. Transport patient to the designated room.

8. Coordinates with nursing units on matters concerning room availability, room transfer and incoming admission.

9. Updates room assignment in pre-admission list.

10. Monitors daily discharges.

11. Checks room transfer request.

12. Prepares report of daily list of admission, bed status and census report.

13. Handles the preparation and issuance of Death Certificate.

14. Keeps, updates and maintains registry logbook of unaccomplished and unclaimed Death Certificates.

15. Attends to patient's complaints concerning admission.

16. Performs other duties that maybe assigned to or required of the job
